Buildt an enterprise design system from scratch
Overview
When I joined EV Cargo as the company's first UI/UX designer, there was no shared design language. Developers and product managers were making decisions independently, resulting in inconsistent UI across products and inefficient development cycles.
I built the Experience Library from the ground up — a comprehensive, living design system crafted in Figma and transformed into a fully coded component library by the development team. This library has since become the single source of truth for all product teams.
My Role
Solo UI/UX Designer — I owned the Experience Library end to end, from defining the system architecture and designing every component in Figma, to writing the usage documentation and working closely with developers to bring the website to life.

Live & Fully Coded
Serving as both the documentation hub for the whole team and the shared codebase foundation for all products, meaning any component update is automatically reflected across every product that uses it.
Now
The Experience Library transformed how EV Cargo's product teams work. For the first time, designers, developers, and product managers share a single, documented source of truth — reducing inconsistency, cutting down design-to-development back-and-forth, and enabling faster delivery across products.
What began as a handful of components built alongside EV Flow has grown into a mature system maintained and expanded continuously for over two years, and continues to evolve as the product suite grows.
