Overview

EV Flow is EV Cargo's next-generation platform for managing the end-to-end supply chain, from purchase order creation and vendor booking through shipment, customs clearance, and final delivery. Built as a modern, multi-tenant cloud-based platform, it serves multiple user groups including retailers, suppliers, warehouse teams, and third-party logistics partners, each with role-specific tools and workflows.

The project was a ground-up redesign of LIMA, EV Cargo's legacy single-tenant system, an enterprise application comprising more than 50 specialised tools and serving customers across every stage of the supply chain lifecycle. It had accumulated years of complexity with no clear path to simplification. Many areas required years of domain knowledge just to navigate.

As the sole designer, I led the complete overhaul: replacing dense, unintuitive workflows with a modern interface that delivers the same functional depth and beyond, without the friction.

My Role

As the sole UI/UX designer, I was responsible for translating business and product requirements into design, from wireframing and prototyping through to final UI.

I worked closely with the product development team and product delivery manager, iterating on designs based on feedback from users and subject matter experts.

Pain Points with the Legacy System

Data was poorly organised and presented, frequently overwhelming users.

Users scrolled endlessly through oversized data tables, losing track of critical information and making costly errors.

Routine tasks required memorising convoluted click paths due to lack of logical flows, taking new hires weeks to learn and frustrating even experienced users.

Example

LIMA comprises 50+ tools spanning every stage of the supply chain. This example focuses on Shipment Authority, a tool used by retailer teams to update and manage shipment status.

Data is structured hierarchically: users input or select values at the header level, with granular detail surfaced in nested parent/child tables below.

The core need was simple: users must be able to update values at every level, quickly and without friction.
